The Saudi National Campaign for Relief of Somali People inaugurated a project of drilling 150 wells at a cost of $15 million in southern and central Somalia. Addressing a ceremony held on this occasion in Mogadishu, the Assistant Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Ambassador Atta Al-Mannan Bakhit said that the project comes in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and under the supervision of Crown Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Interior and General Supervisor of the Saudi National Campaign for Relief of Somali People. Ambassador Bakhit thanked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for providing Somalia with humanitarian assistances, describing these assistances as part of the Kingdom's contribution to the service of the causes of the Islamic nation. The Saudi National Campaign for Relief of Somali People had donated 10 thousand tons of food and medical aid under the supervision of OIC Office in Somalia.
