In the presence of the Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja, a symposium entitled "the dialogue of cultures in the face of contemporary challenges" was held here today, within the activities of Saudi Cultural Days Festival currently holding at the headquarters of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in the French capital. Commenting on a discussion during the symposium, the Minister Dr. Khoja stressed that Islam calls for dialogue, citing decent verse, "O people, We have created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other." He also confirmed the importance of such dialogues and meetings without any feeling of inferiority or arrogance among the interlocutors.
