The Director General of Civil Defense, Lieutenant General Saad bin Abdullah Al-Tuwaijri has reiterated warning of the dangers of exposure to rain and floods, particularly in valleys. He said that the recent floods witnessed by the Kingdom caused the deaths of 16 Saudi nationals and two Sudanese as other two people are still missing. After participating in the First Scientific Forum (on the safety of people with special needs) held here today, Lt Gen Al-Tuwaijri stressed that the preparations made by the General Directorate of Civil Defense for the rainy season and floods are good. He also confirmed that the completion of these efforts is achieved by the cooperation of citizens, expatriates, urging citizens to be far away from the valley trails and flood paths and to be cautious, committing themselves to the instructions of civil defense seriously.
