Prince Naif Ibn Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Interior, and President of Civil Defense Council, has approved a plan of civil defense measures for the blessed month of Ramadan. This announcement came during a meeting here today chaired by Director General of Civil Defense Lieutenant General Saad bin Abdullah Al-Tuwaijri in the presence of all commanders of civil defense. He said that the plan is supported and followed up by the Second Deputy Premier, the Vice Minister of Interior and Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Affairs, who have been keen on providing maximum levels of security, safety and tranquility to pilgrims and Umrah performers. Lt. Gen. Al-Tuwaijri pointed out that the plan will start tomorrow and its implementation will be supported by 9,600 officers and privates, 1,440 vehicles and technical machines, in addition to five seasonal units serving roads leading to Makkah and five aircraft.
