The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, received here today the new Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Gabon to the OIC, Ismael Gnamalengoungou Oligui who presented his credentials as his country's permanent representative to the OIC. During the meeting, the Ambassador praised the Secretary General's prudent administration and sincere efforts in serving causes of the Islamic countries. The Secretary General thanked the Gabonese Ambassador and wished him success in the discharge of his duties. The ongoing preparations for the 9th session of the OIC Information Ministers Conference to be held in the Gabonese capital, Libreville, from April 17 to 20, 2012 were also discussed. For his part, the Secretary General thanked the Republic of Gabon for its efforts to ensure widespread high-level participation in this conference and underscored the OIC's commitment to its success.
