The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Kazakhstan signed here today a bilateral protocol agreement on the Kingdom's access of goods and services to Kazakh markets within the framework of Kazakhstan's requirements for its accession to World Trade Organization (WTO). The protocol was signed by Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah and Kazakhstan's Minister of Economic Integration Zhanar Aitzhanova, currently visiting the Kingdom. In a speech following the signing ceremony, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah expressed his hope that the visit of Kazakhstan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Yerzhan Kh. Kazykhanov and his accompanying delegation to the Kingdom will enhance trade relations between the two countries in the coming period. The signing ceremony was attended by Kazakhstan's Minister of Foreign Affairs. It is noteworthy that the volume of trade exchanges between the Kingdom and Kazakhstan amounted to SR 403 million in 2010, including Saudi exports worth SR 7 million and imports totaling SR 396 million.
