A U.S. Navy jet crashed in a Virginia neighborhood Friday, with the two pilots believed to have ejected before impact, authorities said. There have been no reports of any injuries on the ground. According to media reports, the jet crashed into an apartment building near Virginia Beach. Aerial photographs showed smoke rising from buildings in the area. The Virginian-Pilot newspaper quoted a Naval Air Force Atlantic spokesperson as saying the jet was an F/A-18 Hornet.
