The United States and Bangladesh are to hold joint security talks in Dhaka later this month, a senior US official said Friday, according to dpa. The meeting will be on April 19, said US Undersecretary for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman after meeting Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Dipu Moni. "We want to work together on all of the security challenges that we face here, through this region and the world," she told reporters, while also praising Bangladesh. "Bangladesh is doing well in this tough arena," said Sherman, who also met with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed. -- SPA
