Bahraini Minister of Interior, Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa met here today with the delegations of GCC Member States participating in the 26th meeting of the Directors of GCC Anti-Narcotics Agencies. During the meeting, Shaikh Rashid praised the tremendous efforts exerted by GCC Anti-Narcotics Agencies and their plans to curb drug-related crimes and minimize drugs' negative psychological impacts on the individual and society, calling for the need to take advantage of awareness-raising campaigns and successful community partnership to achieve the pre-set objectives and put forward long-term programmes aiming to consolidate national capabilities in addressing the phenomenon and eradicating it.
