Jordanian Prime Minister Awn Al-Khasawneh said on Thursday Jordan gives great attention to improving the quality of health service for citizens and called for close cooperation among Arab health ministries. He told ministers attending the 37th regular session of the Arab Health Ministers' Council, which kicked off today in Amman, that Arab health ministries play a key role in upgrading health standards. The Premier voiced hope that the session would come up with decisions and recommendations to enhance joint health cooperation in the Arab world. The participants reviewed their ministries' activities and relations with international organizations, especially the World Health Organization (WHO). Taking part in the Amman meeting are delegates from Bahrain, Oman, Djibouti, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen, Palestine, Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, the Republic of Comoros, Lebanon, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Libya and Iraq, according to Jordan News Agency (Petra).
