A police official was killed and two were injured Thursday in a suicide attack in north-western Pakistan's militancy-plagued Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, police officials said. The attacker hit a police van while it was on a routine patrol in Peshawar, the provincial capital. "Abdul Kalam was killed and his armed guard and driver were injured in the attack," dpa quoted Police spokesman Jalaludin Khan as saying. About 6 kilograms of explosives were used in the strike, said Shafqat Malik, another police official.
