At least one policeman was killed and six persons injured in a suicide attack after a political rally in Pakistan's restive north-west, police and aid workers said. According to dpa, the incident occurred in the Charsada district of the militancy-plagued Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. Nisar Marwat, senior district police officer, said that a suicide bomber targeted the vehicle of Aftab Khan Sherpao, a former interior minister, as he left, after addressing a political gathering. "One policeman was killed and six persons, including two policemen, were injured, but the former minister remained safe," Marvat said.
