The Ministers of Communications of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States started here today the first meeting of Ministerial Committee of Electronic Government under the chairmanship of Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Mohammed Jamil bin Ahmad Mulla. Addressing the meeting, Mulla said that the meeting is an opportunity to discuss e-Government programs being implemented by the GCC states in the current period, to consider the possibility of their unification in the coming period, and to review joint cooperation in this field. In another speech, the GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani described the first meeting of the Committee as an additional block to promote joint actions of GCC states and contribute to further coordination, integration and interdependence among them.
