An Indian Air Force combat aircraft crashed in the north-western state of Rajasthan on Monday, but the pilot ejected safely. The French-built jet had taken off from an air force base in central India and crashed in the eastern Sawai Madhopur district, broadcaster NDTV reported. There were no reports of casualties or damage on the ground.
