A suicide car bomber blew himself up in southern Afghanistan on Monday, killing at least one officer and injuring four people, officials said. The bomber detonated his explosive-laden vehicle next to the police station and the governor's compound in Kandahar city, a police official at the scene was quoted as saying by DPA. One policeman was killed and four others, including three civilians, were wounded in the explosion, the police official said. A spokesman for the provincial governor also confirmed the bombing.
