Permanent Representatives of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States to the United Nations in New York have recently held a consultative meeting at the headquarters of the GCC Mission under the chairmanship of Saudi Arabia's Permanent Representative, Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Ma'lami. A statement issued today by the GCC General Secretariat said that the representatives have agreed to strengthen communications with senior officials of the United Nations on current issues of concern to the GCC states, and to meet United Nations Undersecretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Valerie Amos on March 8, 2012, at the GCC Mission to discuss most important current developments at international arena, particularly the humanitarian situations of the Palestinian people.
