A building in downtown of China's capital caught on fire late Monday afternoon, fire fighters said. A fierce blaze engulfed the building near a bus stop in Gongzhufen, Haidian District in western Beijing, disrupting traffic in the region, Xinhua quoted fire fighters and witnesses as saying. The fire, about which firefighters said they were informed at 6:14 p.m., was put out later after 15 fire trucks were dispatched to fight the blaze, said an official with the city's fire department. No casualties have been reported so far, said the official. It is yet unknown how the fire started.
