Egypt's newly-elected parliament is to hold its inaugural session on Monday. Tight security was imposed around the parliament building, according to a report of the German Press Agency "DPA". During the first session of the lower house of parliament, or the People's Assembly, members will vote for the new parliamentary speaker.
