The Ministry of Health has expressed its thanks to and appreciation of National Anti-Corruption Commission for its support for the efforts of the Ministry and good cooperation with it. In a clarification on the disclosure of news yesterday on the embezzlement and theft of large quantities of vaccines and serums from warehouses of one of the directorates of health affairs in one of the Governorates, the Ministry said, "After the discovery of these abuses and verification of all necessary information, the Ministry informed National Anti Corruption Commission. A joint committee from both sides was formed immediately including a professional specialist team from the Ministry of Health. The Committee has investigated the matter and followed up its circumstances and formal procedures of actions were taken in coordination with relevant security authorities. The Ministry confirmed its commitment to pursue the principle of transparency with all concerned bodies, as well as its commitment to implementation of the severest formal sanctions against anyone violating regulations and instructions.
