Crude oil prices headed toward $103 per barrel overnight as stock markets in Asia and Europe turned higher, according to UPI. The positive mood precedes the latest corporate reporting season with investors anticipating higher profits based on stronger economic data in the fourth quarter of 2011. On the New York Mercantile Exchange Tuesday morning, February delivery West Texas Intermediate crude oil added $1.42 to reach $102.73 per barrel. Home heating oil added 2.32 cents to $3.0962 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline added 2.1 cents to $2.78 per gallon. Henry Hub natural gas prices shed 4.1 cents to $2.97 per million British thermal units. At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline dropped to $3.372 per gallon from Monday's $3.374, AAA said.
