General Directorate of Anti-Narcotics began developing a global website entitled the "International Drug Information Network". This was reported by Abdul-Illah bin Mohammed Al-Sharif, Assistant Director General of General Directorate of Anti-Narcotics for Legal Affairs, who is also a United Nations International Consultant. Al-Sharif said that "The web site aims at providing specialists all over the world with strategies and anti-narcotics systems, in Arabic, English and Urdu." He added that the "International Drug Information Network aims to introduce governmental and non-governmental organizations concerned with research and drug prevention as well as international research, studies and reports issued by the United Nations and the World Health Organization." Al-Sharif made clear that the General Directorate of Anti-Narcotics of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has formed relevant committees and sent many experts to gather information from their sources to be monitored in the International Drug Information Network for the global benefit of all researchers in this field and those who are interested in the its content.
