January delivery light, sweet crude oil prices held above $101 overnight with traders expected to hold back on big moves until the end of the week, according to UPI. European leaders are scheduled to meet for a summit meeting Thursday and Friday that could include decisions on the fate of the euro, which has been weakened by ongoing government debt issues On the New York Mercantile Exchange, West Texas Intermediate crude oil shed 17 cents to reach $101.11 Wednesday morning. Home heating oil gave up 0.86 cents to hit $3.0131 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline lost 2.49 cents to $2.6205 per gallon. Henry Hub natural gas prices lost 5.3 cents to $3.434 per million British thermal units. At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline reached $3.286 per gallon Wednesday from Tuesday's $3.275, AAA said.
