In the presence of its Secretary General Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, the Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) started here today the meeting of its Executive Committee at the ministerial level. Presided over by Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Kazykhanov, who is also President of the 38th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of Islamic countries, the meeting aims to discuss the developments in the Syrian arena. A closed session was held at the beginning of the meeting.
