Algeria and Qatar have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the mining sector at the end of a working visit to Algiers by the Qatari Minister of Energy and Industry, Mohammad bin Saleh Al-Sadah. The MoU will facilitate identification of avenues of bolstering bilateral cooperation and studying the possibility of establishing a joint company to explore gold in some sites of Algeria. On the other side, the two sides agreed on the establishment of a joint company in the field of maritime transport and logistics services.
