AlHijjah 19, 1432, Nov 15, 2011, SPA - Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Governor of Makkah Region, patronized here yesterday the opening ceremony of 1st Forum of National Architectural Heritage organized by Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) in cooperation with Jeddah Governorate, and King Abdul Aziz University. The ceremony was attended by Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, SCTA President and Prince Mishaal bin Majed bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jeddah. Prince Khalid Al-Faisal also inaugurated an exhibition held on the sidelines of the Forum. In a press statement, Prince Khalid Al Faisal, said Saudi Arabia has been extending keen interest and care for the (preservation of) the Kingdom's architectural heritage. "We are in a dire need to preserve our heritage, (the National) identity and distinctive personality (and features), especially in our cities. As we live in the holiest place on the earth, our cities should be true and clear pictures of Saudi Arabian Muslim personalities," he added. --More
