Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) in cooperation with Jeddah Principality and King Abdulaziz University will organize the 1st Forum of Architectural and National Heritage in Jeddah on October 08-10, 2011. Prince Sultan Ibn Salman Ibn Abdulaziz, the Commission's President, said in a statement today that the holding of the Forum comes in activation of the recommendations of The 1st International Conference for Urban Heritage in the Islamic Countries, organized by the Commission in partnership with a number of departments last year under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud. Prince Sultan Ibn Salman stressed that the Forum aims at highlighting the importance of the Kingdom's architectural heritage, preserving and developing it as well as encouraging investments in this valuable sector for tourism purposes.
