AlHijjah 12, 1432, Nov 8, 2011, SPA - Japanese shares dropped 1.2 per cent Tuesday as export-oriented issues were dragged down by the yen's rise and overnight losses on European markets. The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average lost 111.58 points, or 1.27 per cent, to close at 8,655.51 while the broader-based Topix index was down 12.42 points, or 1.66 per cent, at 738.03, according to a report of the German Press Agency "DPA".
