AlHijjah 10, 1432, Nov 6, 2011, SPA -- Prince Turki Alfaisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of King Faisal Center for Islamic Research and Studies, hailed the great achievements by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia led by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Prince Turki said that most notable among the achievements are boosting security and stability, firm fighting and eradication of terrorism, adoption of reform policies and achieving citizens' aspirations. Prince Turki made the remarks in a speech he delivered at New York State University in the city of Rochester last night. The event was attended by a large number of people interested in the affairs of the Middle East and Arab and Islamic studies. Prince Turki reviewed economic achievements including the establishment of the Supreme Economic Council, the kingdom's accession to World Trade Organization and its membership in the Economic 20 Countries Group. Prince Turki talked about progress in education, national dialogue, dialogue among followers of religions and cultures, reform efforts. Prince Turki's speech, which carried the title of "The Political History of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," reviewed the history of the kingdom and bases for its foundation.
