AlHijjah 10, 1432, Nov 6, 2011, SPA -- Guatemalans prepared to vote for president again Sunday, in a runoff between two candidates, dpa reported. The right-wing former general Otto Perez Molina led in polls going into the vote, with 48 per cent against 41 per cent for challenger Manuel Baldizon, a center-right businessman running as a populist. Perez beat Baldizon in general elections in September, but without the absolute majority he needed for a first-round win. More than 7.3 million Guatemalans were eligible to choose the successor to left-leaning President Alvaro Colom. The winner will be inaugurated to a four-year term January 14. Polls were scheduled to open at 7:00 (1300 GMT) and close at 18:00 (0000 GMT). Results were expected for late Sunday in Guatemala.
