AlHijjah 7, 1432, Nov 3, 2011, SPA -- As part of the Ministry of Culture and Information system, the Saudi Television this year provides the best capabilities to cover Hajj rituals, it was reported today. In a statement to SPA, Prince Turki bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Culture and Information for Information Affairs, said the Saudi TV has transmitted reports on the movements of pilgrims even from their respective destinations, their arrivals at the Kingdom's air, land and sea inlets as well as their journeys to Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah and Makkah. A closed-circuit channel covering the area around the holy Haram was restored this year, the senior official said, adding that, to secure the provision of the best service, the Saudi TV has allotted 12 TV transmitting vehicles, 12SNG cars, 16 Microwave units in addition to 6 mobile equipped studios among the sacred places, 4 studios in Arafat, 3 in Mina and two control rooms in each of Mina and Arafat together with 72 fixed and movable cameras for land and air photographing. He said the TV also provides free of charge foreign televisions direct coverage from the holy places to their respective satellites.
