AlHijjah 2, 1432, Oct 29, 2011, SPA -- The Minister of Hajj, Dr. Fouad bin Abdulsalam Al-Farsi said the Ministry of Hajj will continue to give its annual prizes for the best journalism works for the Hajj season of 1432H. The Minister pointed out that the ministry will honor during the annual ceremony which will take place on the 14th of the month of Dhu Al-Hijjah in Jeddah, winners of the best journalism for the Hajj season of 1431H, who were selected based on nominations of members of the award jury which consists of a group of journalists. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) won an award in recognition of excellence in the coverage of the Hajj season in 1431H. The award for the best press coverage in Hajj was won by Almadinah newspaper and the award for best individual journalist work in Hajj was won by journalist Maryam Al Jaber, Arriyadh newspaper, and journalist Mohammed Mesbahi, from Okaz newspaper. The award for best humanitarian topic in the pilgrimage was won by journalist Ayedh Omran from Alhayat newspaper, and journalist Hani Qaffas from Alwatan newspaper. The award for best newspaper article in the pilgrimage was won by journalist writer Faten Ibrahim Mohamed Hussein, and columnist Nawaf Al Meshal Sbhan. The award for best photo journalist in Hajj was won by photo journalists Fahd Aladayen, Abdullah Mehsud, and Meshaal Alqudair. The award for the best caricature in Hajj was won by cartoonists Mahmoud Hamazani and Mohammed Adnan Al Rais.
