Minister of Hajj Dr. Fouad Bin Abdul-Salam Al-Faresi said today that the Ministry of Hajj gives awards on an annual basis for the best pilgrimage work and coverage in the press. "This reflects the importance of the role of the press and its positive ramifications on the pilgrimage, " he said in a statement here to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). He announced the four winners of these awards for the last year's pilgrimage season (1426AH). The recipients of these awards are as follows: 1- Al-Jazeerah newspapers for the best press coverage. 2- Journalist Mahmoud Ibrahim Traore of Al-Watan and journalist Hussein Mohammed Al-Qahtani of Al-Riyadh Newspaper shared the prize for the best individual report. 3- Journalist Ahmed Amer Ahmed Saad of Al-Nadwah Newspaper and journalist Hadi Hassan Ibrahim Al-Faqih of Al Hayat newspaper shared the prize for the best humanitarian subject. 4- Mohsen Salem Abdul-habib bin Ali of Riyadh Newspaper received the prize for the best press photograph. The minister said the winners will receive their awards during an annual honoring ceremony, slated to take place on 14th of Hijri month of Dhul Hijjah at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Jeddah.
