AlQa'dah 26, 1432, Oct 24, 2011, SPA -- Implementing directives by Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and General Supervisor of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Campaign for Relief of the Palestinian People in Gaza, the campaign, in cooperation with UNRWA, sent on Monday the third batch of the food aid convoy to be distributed among the needy families in the strip. UNRWA, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, named the convoy after the Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, in recognition of his humanitarian role. This was stated by Filippo Grandi, the Commissioner-General of UNRWA, who offered his condolences to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's leadership and people on the death of Crown Prince Sultan The convoy was launched in the Jordanian capital Amman in a ceremony organized by UNRWA. The convoy carried thousands of baskets of food with a total cost of 10,813,815 Saudi Riyals.
