Rahmon and Clinton discussed regional security issues, and the need to create greater economic opportunities, jobs and trade (in Tajikistan) , according to a report of the German Press Agency "DPA". Hillary Clinton, who is on her first visit to the Central Asian country, also had a meeting with Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi in the capital Dushanbe.
