Akhir 02, 1432, March 07, 2011, SPA -- Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon arrived here today to discuss bilateral relations and economic cooperation, an official of Pakistan's Foreign Ministry said. During his three-day visit, Rahmon is expected to meet President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani. He also plans to visit the main commercial city and southern port of Karachi. The ministry said Rahmon is accompanied by several Tajik lawmakers and a delegation of businessmen who will discuss agreements in the fields of hydropower, investment, health care, trade, sports and agriculture. An official said the agenda would include a multibillion-dollar transmission line to provide electricity to Pakistan from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, through Afghanistan, according to a report of the German Press Agency "DPA".
