AlQa'dah 3, 1432, Oct 1, 2011, SPA -- An accident at a gas unit at Ahmadi refinery resulted in the death of four laborers and the injury of two employees, Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) announced today. The accident came about as routine maintenance work was being carried out at a gas unit at the refinery, Muhammad Al-Ajmi, director of public relations at KNPC told KUNA. He indicated the accident was spurred by a gas leak at the unit, adding that the two injured employees had been treated and released from the hospital and that they were recovering very well. A fact-finding committee has been formed to look into the ramifications regarding the accident, he said.
