AlQa'dah 1, 1432, Sep 29, 2011, SPA -- Chairwoman of the International Muslim Women's Union in Britain Yvonne Ridley lauded the decision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud granting women in Saudi Arabia the right to become members of the Shura Council and vote and run for portfolios in municipal councils.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Ridley described the magnificent step as yet a signal that the monarch has made several positive changes in the life of women in Saudi Arabia.
