AlQa'dah 4, 1432, Oct 2, 2011, SPA -- World Health Organization (WHO) Eastern Mediterranean Region Director Dr. Hussain A. Al-Jazairi has hailed the contents of the speech the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud recently addressed to Majlis Al-Shura, especially his decision on granting Saudi women the right to vote and run as candidates for the coming municipal elections in accordance with the Shari'a (Islamic law)'s guidelines. In his speech during opening the 58th session of the WHO Eastern Mediterranean, Dr. Al-Jazairi said that granting the Saudi women their rights in the society in accordance with the Shari'a guidelines is consistent with the Islamic religion, describing it as very important step.
