Japanese stocks dropped more than One per cent Wednesday. The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average lost 97.98 points, or 1.14 per cent, to 8,518.57, the lowest since April 2009. The broader-based Topix index was down 8.13 points, or 1.08 per cent, at 741.69, according to a report of the German Press Agency "DPA".
