The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud viewed at Al-Safa Palace this evening a presentation on the proposed Tawaf expansion project. Dr. Khalid Al-Anqari, Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Bakri Assas, Rector of Ummal Qura University and members of the engineering team who designed the project briefed the monarch on the proposal. According to the proposal, the new Tawaf area accommodates some 130,000 worshippers and that the project could be implemented in three years. For his part, the monarch made some remarks on the proposal and gave some instructions to the team. The presentation was attended by Prince Abdul-Ilah bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the monarch and Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohammed, Minister of Education.
