King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, receives an honorary doctorate from Rector of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri Bin Ma'atouk Asas for his service to humanity at Al-Safa Palace in Makkah Saturday. Those present on the occasion included Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid Bin Mohammed Al-Anqari, university undersecretaries, college deans and senior officials of the university. The King also received a commemorative shield from the Muslim World League (MWL), marking its 50th anniversary and a book documenting the King's initiative at the International Islamic Conference on Dialogue. King Abdullah also received Prince Rashid Bin Al-Hassan II of Morocco. King Abdullah also met Saleh Bin Ahmad Al-Zahrani and his two sons, Saeed and Khalid, who thanked the King for offering condolences and sympathy on the death of Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Bin Saleh Al-Zahrani who died during a training mission in Spain.
