Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques receives annual report on the activities of King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue for the fiscal year 1431-1432 H.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at Al-Safa Palace before sunset today the annual report on the activities of King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue (KACND) for the fiscal year 1431-1432 H. The report, which contains the center's activities, including national meetings, workshops, training courses, symposia and the projects achieved by the center, was delivered to the monarch by the Chairman of the Center's Presidential Committee Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulrahman Al-Hussein and members of the committee. They were Dr. Abdullah Omer Naseef; Dr. Rashed Al-Rajeh Al-Sharif; Dr. Abdulah bin Saleh Al-Obeid; Faisal bin Abdulrahman bin Muammar, Deputy Minister of Education, who is the Secretary General of KACND; and Dr. Fahd bin Sultan Al-Sultan, Deputy Secretary General of KACND. In remarks on the occasion, the monarch stated that dialogue represents the best way for achieving social reconciliation, considering difference of viewpoints a natural matter which should be settled through true dialogue. He warned from the repercussions of lack of dialogue which results into chaos. King Abdullah also said "all people could practice co-existence which could be controlled by Sharia and national principles", expressing confidence in his people to always show respect to those principles. He lauded the center's activities over the last few years, citing lessons derived from the national meetings held by the center. He urged governmental and private institutions to cooperate with the center to spread the culture of national dialogue and acceptance of the other view point and the call for moderation and tolerance. According to the report, the center has offered training courses to more than 600,000 female and male nationals and qualified 2000 female and male instructors.
