Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Chief of the Saudi Arabian Red Crescent Commission, received at his office in Riyadh this evening visiting Sudanese counterpart Dr. Hussein Othman Abu-Saleh. During the meeting, aspects of cooperation between the two organizations were reviewed and ways of enhancing them were discussed. For his part the Sudanese official thanked the Saudi efforts recently extended through the SARCC to help the people of Darfur alleviate their sufferings. He cited the operation of 22 medical centers and 21 potable water stations, and the construction of six health care units and 11 water stations in Darfur. For his part, Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz instructed the appropriation of $100,000 for the provision of relief and humanitarian services for the needy in Southern Kordofan.
