The resort city of Taif is experiencing a peak demand for tourists' services and facilities. There is a big rush of holidaymakers and visitors from various provinces and governorates of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other member countries of The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC). The city's centers, tourist resorts, gardens and public parks are filled with a large number of visitors, who are expected to surpass the mark of more than 3.5 million during this year (1432AH). In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Mayor of Taif and President of the City's Council of Tourism Development, Fahd bin Abdul-Aziz bin Muammar said that the Taif city is witnessing a peak demand for tourism; which is reflected on the operation of all tourism facilities and supporting the local economy, directing all utilities to do more to facilitate the comfort of tourists. He hailed the Saudi leadership and government's constant support to a lot of development projects and new developmental schemes that will strengthen the infrastructure and improve services provided to citizens.
