Japanese shares fell Monday as export-oriented issues were pulled down by a stronger yen. The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average lost 82.1 points, or 0.81 per cent, to close at 10,050.01. The broader-based Topix index was down 6.9 points, or 0.79 per cent, at 861.91. On currency markets at 3 pm (0600 GMT), the U.S. dollar traded at 78.45-48 yen, down from Friday's 5 pm quote of 78.67-69 yen, according to a report of the German Press Agency "DPA". The Euro traded at 1.4366-4369 dollars, down from 1.4394-4396 dollars Friday, and at 112.72-73 yen, down from 113.24-28 yen.
