Egypt welcomes power grid linking it with Saudi Arabia and GCC countries

The Secretary General of the Arab League Dr. Nabeel al-Arabi met here today with Egypt's Minister of Electricity Dr. Hasan Younes.
In a statement, the Egyptian minister said a number of issues of concern to the Arab integration and further advancement of the Arab joint work, including the Arab grid link, were discussed during the meeting.
He drew the attention to the forthcoming power grid link between Egypt and Saudi Arabia which, if put into operation, would have Egypt linked with other Arab Gulf countries who are already linked with Saudi Arabia.
