Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz, The Acting Governor of Riyadh Province has expressed his thanks to Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) for UNWTO Ulysses Special jury award given to the Alghat Cooperative Association Cultural Villages Development Project. The Acting Governor commended the valuable achievement accredited to the Kingdom and lauded the efforts of SCTA President and officials. The 2011 Ulysses Awards were handed over last night at UNWTO Algarve Forum on Tourism and Science in Vilamoura, Portugal to a series of State institutions, private enterprises and non-profit organizations including: Awards For innovation in governance, Awards For Innovation in Enterprises, Awards For Innovation in Non-Governmental Organizations and Special jury Awards. The UNWTO Ulysses Awards are given for initiatives and projects undertaken by public tourism institutions, tourism enterprises and non-profit institutions that have made a significant contribution to the advancement of tourism through innovation. The winners are selected by an international jury of tourism experts.
