Iraqi President Jalal Talabani met today U.S. Ambassador to Iraq, James Jeffrey in Baghdad. During the meeting, they discussed relations between the two countries in light of the Strategic Framework Agreement signed between Baghdad and Washington at the end of the year 2008. A statement issued by the Iraqi presidency said that President Talabani discussed with Jeffrey the current developments in Iraq in the domains of the political and security relations and regional and international efforts to bring together the parties and the Iraqi political leaders to ensure unity and national harmony in the country.
