Saudi Arabia accredited as member of a sub-committee of the Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade
Saudi Arabia today became full member of the Chemical Material Review Committee, an affiliate of Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade, it was reported here today. Suleiman bin Mohammed Al-Zeben, Director General for Chemical and Hazardous Wastes Safety Department at the General Presidency for Meteorology and Protection of Environment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who headed his country's delegation to the 5th Conference for the Parties of the Rotterdam Agreement on Pre-approval for World Trade for Chemical and Hazardous Pesticides Materials, said Saudi Arabia was chosen member for four years effective September 2011.
