Dominican Republican President Leonel Fernandez and his wife arrived in Amman on Saturday for a three-day state visit, according to dpa. Fernandez is due to have talks on Sunday with King Abdullah II on the latest Middle East developments and on means of boosting bilateral ties, particularly in the economic and trade spheres, a royal court statement said. The Dominican Republic leader is also scheduled to meet with leaders of the Jordanian private sector to brief them on the prospects of conducting joint investments, officials said.
